Our Firmware is downloadable at no charge, but requires use of our Vantage Pro Updater for Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Pro Updater for Original Vantage Pro, which are available for purchase through our secure e-commerce system.
If your Vantage Pro2 Console Firmware is dated 28-Nov-05 or later, you may update your console with the Direct PC Install file. This is a stand alone application that will update your console firmware directly through the WeatherLink data logger connected to your PC. (WeatherLink for Vantage Pro2 (#6510SER, 6510USB, 6540, 6544, 6550 or 6560) is required to use the Direct PC Install file.) DO NOT USE the Direct to PC Install file if your Vantage Pro2 firmware revision is dated before November 28, 2005.
WeatherLink for Mac OSX (#6520) does not support Direct PC Install files. To update your console, use a Vantage Pro2 Updater.

1. Resolved a bug that locked up the data logger if a valid DNS could not be found. If a valid DNS cannot be found, the logger will try again every 2 minutes.
2. The displayed units on WeatherLink.com will now match the individual units set on your console. Changes to the unit settings or rain collector size on the console will be immediately uploaded to WeatherLink.com.
3. If the data logger was not able to upload archived data, it will now retry in 5 minutes rather than waiting for the next one-hour upload.

1. Fixed bug that caused Alarm port to not work when "Delay on Release" and "Delay on Reactivation" values were not set to zero.
2. Changed the smallest irrigation cycle from hour to day.
3. Removed "Rain-ET Threshold", added "Irrigation amount", "Maximum Effective Rain".
4. Fixed problem with resetting values whenever a serial command was received from the PC.
Note: To update your datalogger firmware simply connect your datalogger to your PC. Run this program. Select your COM port number and press OK.

1. Report 2-minte average wind speed and 10-minute high wind speed instead of 1-minute average wind speed and 5-minute high wind speed.
2. Modify Daylight Savings to reflect the new 2007 dates. (Requires the latest console firmware v1.60.)
3. Report altimeter instead of current barometer value.
4. Fixed issue with Daylight Savings in manual mode (this bug requires the latest console firmware version 1.60).
5. Report hourly rain and 24 hourly rain as "000" if both daily rain and storm rain are 0 initially otherwise show "….." in the APRS packet until the measuring time elapses.
6. Add minimum pressure check on the altimeter data.
Note: To update your datalogger firmware simply connect your datalogger to your PC. Run this program. Select your COM port number.Repower your console.When you have confirmation that the updater program has detected your datalogger, then press OK.

NOTE: This is not Vantage Pro2 console firmware and should not be used to upgrade your Vantage Pro2 console. This file only updates the firmware in a Vantage Pro2 Updater (Davis #6311VP2).
This February 7, 2006 firmware update has the following changes -
1. Corrects a problem that may cause the Updater to not update a Vantage Pro2 console. The Updater may show a red light and halt.
The December 1, 2005 firmware release has the following changes -
1. In order for the "direct from PC firmware update" feature of the Nov, 2005 console firmware to be properly implemented, the Updater must have this latest Updater firmware in it prior to updating a VP2 console.
2. With this Updater firmware, future Updater firmware can be programmed to the Updater directly from a PC without the use of a second Updater.
Required: To use this file you will need at least two Vantage Pro2 Updaters (Davis #6311VP2).
