*If outside the USA and Canada: OBDII on-board diagnostics became mandatory for all cars, pickups, and vans manufactured for sale in the U.S. and Canada beginning with model-year 1996. Many vehicles manufactured for sale elsewhere are also OBDII-compliant, and CarChip Fleet Pro and the OBD version of DriveRight 600E will work with these vehicles as well. However, there is no easy way to tell which are OBDII-compliant and which are not, even if the vehicle appears to have the proper connector. If you want to use CarChip Fleet Pro or the OBD version of DriveRight 600E, we suggest that you purchase a sample unit and test it in your fleet before committing to a larger purchase.
