Graphic Designer – Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new standards for how we market our products and brand across all customer touch points: website and ecommerce experience, social media, blog, tradeshows, packaging and more.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and project leads and work autonomously to address needs.
  • Ensure all marketing communications across various channels and departments remain consistent and align with strategic marketing goals and brand guidelines.
  • Assist in the sourcing process for all photography and video assets from external photographers including overall vision, mood board creation, and styling.
  • Develop strategy and tactics to create interest, demand, and recognition of the Davis Instruments brand through the use of performance driven design; includes: strategy, implementation, execution and interpretation of data collected.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Design, Interactive Design, Visual Studies, or other design related field is required.
  • 2 – 5 years experience in graphic design working within a marketing, advertising, agency or in-house environment.
  • Strong portfolio of design and copywriting work that demonstrates expertise across digital, print, typography, and iconography.
  • Experience creating digital and interface UI design is a plus.
  • Experience working with video production and/or editing is a plus.

Production Worker

Required Experience:

  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels
  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
  • Surface Mount Soldering skills a MUST (a soldering test will be given during the interviewing process)
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in a warehouse, Electronic/Manufacturing environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

Senior Web and Mobile Test Engineer

We have a state of the art development environment and use AWS to host our services, mostly Java based code. We have 10’s of thousands of Internet of Things (IoT) weather devices in use by our worldwide customer base. The software includes a data visualization website with data ingestion, APIs and mobile apps. This testing role is applies across the board: website UI, Mobile apps, APIs, backend data ingestion, test automation, low level IoT device interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functionally test the website UI via manual and automated tests
  • Functionally test the mobile apps on Android and iOS
  • Set up and test IoT devices related to weather, some minimal interaction with the command line interfaces to the devices is needed for setup and validation and debug
  • Test and validate data from APIs for the IoT devices via manual and automated tests
  • Test backend features for the IoT device data ingestion
  • Do a first level of debug inside the backend, frontend/browser, API and database env to isolate issues and narrow bugs
  • Develop test plans based on specs or trial of a real working product
  • Work with customers, support and sales team members to reproduce and isolate reported bugs
  • Work closely with developers to get internal design details and provide bug isolation details

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of in-depth experience testing consumer-facing web applications and mobile applications
  • 2+ years of testing APIs/Web services
  • Ability to think out of the box , detail-oriented and inquisitive
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment on multiple projects and prioritize appropriately
  • Strong communication skill: written and verbal

Preferred:

  • BS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with  automation tools like Selenium and Junit
  • Experience with querying data from SQL databases like MySQL
  • Experience with setting up and testing electronic IoT devices
